SUPER MOVIE FAN'S RECOMMENDATION: 3, See It

JODI FOSTER, PETER SARSGARD, ERIKA CHRISTENSEN, SEAN BEAN

What is it about?
On a flight from Berlin to New York, Kyle's (JODI FOSTER) daughter disappears. Emotionally on the edge because of the recent tragic death of her husband, Kyle has a hard time getting anyone to believe her. Was her daughter even there? She then has to find a way to save her daughter and her sanity. As a jet propulsion engineer she has an advantage-she knows the plane better than the pilot.

When and Where does this movie take place?
Current times on a plane.

Why see it? Flightplan works because of FOSTER'S intelligence as an actress, like Panic Room was better because she was in it. The story is well written and holds your interest. Very intense in places.

How about the kids?
PG 13 for violence and intensity.

Video Pick of the Week: The Interpreter, NICOLE KIDMAN is Sylvia, an interpreter at the United Nations who overhears a death threat to an African dictator who is coming to present to the UN General Assembly. SEAN PENN is a secret service agent brought in on the case. This is a very good thriller with fine acting. The movie keeps you guessing and glued to the screen. The ending is a bit typical but this is Hollywood. An adult action thriller.. Is Sylvia going to be believed? Is she lying? The politics are interesting here!

Next week, we'll review, A History of Violence, the story of a small town man, VIGGO MORTENSEN, who stops a robbery, becomes a hero and then is misidentified to be someone the mob is looking for. VERY VIOLENT! WILLIAM HURT and ED HARRIS also star.
