RENEE ZELLWEGER, HUGH GRANT, COLIN FIRTH

What is it about?
As you remember the end of the first Bridget Jones, Wayne, Bridget (ZELLWEGER) chose her man, Darcy (FIRTH). This movie starts six weeks later as Bridget is bickering with Darcy over the possibility of marriage. He wants to hold that thought. Bridget gets paranoid about a co-worker and starts on some very insecure behavior. She reconnects with Daniel (GRANT) and there is part of this movie that takes place in a prison in Thailand where an adventure has gone array. Should I tell you that the prisoners end up singing Madonna songs?

When and Where does this movie take place?
This movie takes place in London and Thailand.

Why see it? The first Bridget Jones got us connected to and interested in a "real" person who did silly things. We could relate. This version is a series of adventures that lead Bridget to not be so real to us any more. I am very disappointed. There is strong "R" to this movie with lewd behavior.

How about the kids?
Rated "R" for language and some sexual content. NOT FOR KIDS!

Video Pick of the Week
The Gods Must Be Crazy
is out on DVD. This is the wild 1980 movie with an amazing story about a bushman in the Kalahari who finds a coke bottle thrown from a plane and changes his life as he searches for its purpose.

Next week, we'll review, Alexander, with COLIN FARRELL as the great conqueror. Very long, Wayne, at three hours. Can this be a great movie? I hope so.
